CAF Announces Date and Venue for 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Draw
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed the date and venue for the draw ceremony of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The event will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Thursday, January 15, 2025.
CAF made the announcement through an official statement published on its website on Wednesday, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated moments ahead of the tournament.
A total of 16 national teams have secured qualification for the competition. The lineup features host nation Morocco, alongside several of Africa’s top women’s football teams:
Morocco (hosts), Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia.
