Bustos Asks for Reinforcements at Olimpia: “We Don’t Need a Lot”

Following one of Olimpia’s most disappointing stretches in recent years, head coach Fabián Bustos is looking ahead to the next phase. Speaking after a 1–1 draw with Nacional, the Argentine coach confirmed he has requested four to five reinforcements, but emphasized the need for precision over quantity: “We don’t need a lot.”
As reported by Versus, the club’s board is already aware of Bustos’ requests and awaits a detailed report expected in the coming days. Bustos outlined a vision for a side with “greater intensity, physical strength, and a preference for attacking in the opponent’s half.”
“These will be adjustments, not sweeping changes,” he stressed. The manager also underlined the importance of building a team that’s more effective in front of goal: “We need to strike, be efficient, and create chances.”
After a semester without silverware or consistency, Olimpia’s coaching staff is eager to reset. Preseason planning is already underway, and decisions in the weeks ahead will be key in shaping the squad’s identity for the rest of the year.
