Burkina Faso have officially parted ways with head coach Brama Traore and his entire technical staff following the team’s elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at the hands of bitter rivals Ivory Coast.
The Burkina Faso Football Federation (FBF) confirmed the decision on Wednesday, bringing an end to Traore’s tenure with the national team. In an official statement, the federation explained that the move came after an in-depth review of the Stallions’ performance at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
"After a thorough analysis of Burkina Faso's participation in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, it was decided to end the collaboration with the national coach and his staff," the official statement read.
