Several players have already arrived at the Etalons’ training base in Ouagadougou.

Burkina Faso is embarking on the first stage of its preparations for the June 2026 FIFA international window. Following head coach Amir Abdou’s announcement of his squad for this international break, the training camp has commenced. The first phase is taking place in the Burkinabe capital, Ouagadougou.

Organised at the request of the Etalons’ head coach, this pre-camp aims to bring all the players most of whom have just finished their domestic leagues up to the same level of fitness before the team’s departure for Russia.

A total of ten players have already reported for duty. They are Hilel Konaté, Kilian Nikiema, Ismaila Ouedraogo, Lohan Doucet, Abdoul Fessal Tapsoba, Arsène Kouassi, Edmond Tapsoba, Hadalou Sagne, Cyrille Dao and Mohamed Ouedraogo.

Burkina Faso will face Russia and Belarus in friendlies on 5 and 9 June.
