Buendía’s Dream Move: The Club He Always Wanted to Join Buendía’s Dream Move: The Club He Always Wanted to Join

Emiliano Buendía, current Aston Villa footballer on loan at Bayer Leverkusen and part of the Argentine National Team's process, has revealed his desire to one day play for the club he has followed since childhood. Although his present is in the Bundesliga, the Mar del Plata midfielder does not rule out the possibility of wearing the jersey of his favorite team in the future.

The former Norwich City and Getafe player assured that he closely follows the current events of his ideal club and left the door open for a possible return to his country. According to La Página Millonaria, Buendía grew up with a strong connection to Argentine football, and in an interview with ESPN, he spoke openly about his desire to wear the River Plate jersey.

"A River fan since I was little, I always dreamed of playing football, of playing for River and I haven't closed the doors, but today my head is here in Europe. I would love to play for River because it's the club I'm a fan of, but we'll see in the future," confessed the Argentine midfielder.

Aston Villa made a significant investment in Buendía, paying around 45 million euros for his transfer from Norwich. Important at first, a knee injury caused him to lose ground, which explains his loan to Leverkusen. His talent, however, has brought him to the attention of Lionel Scaloni, who has called him up several times for the Argentine National Team.

For now, Buendía's future remains tied to Europe, but his confession has ignited hope among the fans of his lifelong club, who dream of seeing him one day defending their colors.
