There is simply no place for such incidents in football.

Details: Today, the final of the Colombian Cup saw Deportivo Independiente Medellín face Atlético Nacional at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium in Medellín.

The match itself ended 0-1 in favor of the visitors, handing them the Colombian Cup. But what followed after the final whistle was truly shocking.

During the victory celebration, Atlético Nacional players approached the home stand and mockingly displayed the trophy to the Deportivo fans. The home supporters were not willing to tolerate such provocation—they tore down the safety barriers and stormed onto the pitch, sparking a violent brawl and chaos on the field.

Chairs, wooden clubs, fists, pepper spray, and anything else the furious fans could get their hands on were used in the melee.

Order was only restored with police intervention, and the mayor of Medellín has already made a statement, strongly condemning the actions of the city's own supporters.
