Mamelodi Sundowns players Teboho Mokoena and Khuliso Mudau have drawn interest from Belgian clubs, according to Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos, as a result of the team's outstanding performance at the most recent Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Because South African players are viewed as "cheap" by European standards, Broos stressed that success with the national team piques European interest in them.
Relebohile Mofokeng's future was a concern for Broos, who urged the young athlete to put his profession before money.
Top European teams like Barcelona B and Rangers have expressed interest in Mofokeng, but Broos has cautioned that a transfer to the wrong team might endanger his chances of playing in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
He advised Mofokeng to wait a few years before making a major move to Europe. Broos suggested lesser European leagues including Belgium, Holland, France, and Portugal as possible venues.
