Details: According to the New York Post, citing Spanish journalist Javi de Hoyos, 26-year-old Ferran Torres ended his relationship with Martina Hunter Alguero shortly before the World Cup quarter-final against Belgium. The footballer and influencer also unfollowed each other on social media.

Despite a turbulent period in his personal life, Torres kept his focus and, together with the Spanish national team, continued his march toward the ultimate prize.

In the final against Argentina, the striker came off the bench and scored the only goal in the 106th minute, sealing a 1-0 victory for Spain and delivering the country's second World Cup title in history.

Remarkably, Torres became only the second substitute ever to score a winning goal in a World Cup final. The first was Mario Götze, who clinched Germany's victory over Argentina in 2014.
