On the first day of the individual eventing competition at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, a new Olympic record was set.

British rider Laura Collett and her horse London 52 achieved an incredible score of 17.5 points in dressage.

Laura Collett has quickly become a household name in eventing circles and the equestrian world. One of the most decorated riders in the history of the sport, she has made headlines countless times with her performances at pony, junior, and young rider levels.

Laura established herself as a rider with world-class potential early on, winning individual bronze and team gold at the 2005 Pony European Championships with Noble Springbok.

In 2016, Laura was longlisted for the Rio Olympics and won team gold at the Strzegom CCI4-S FEI Nations Cup and team silver at the Waregem CCI4-S FEI Nations Cup.

In 2017, Laura regularly competed in the Event Rider Masters series and claimed the CCI4-L title at the Ballindenisk International Horse Trials and Burgham International Horse Trials. In October 2020, she and London 52 won their first CCI5 title at Les Etoiles de Pau.

Notably, Laura had several remarkable years, one of which was achieving team gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
