Brighton to buy Leeds striker for record fee
Brighton has been very active in the transfer market this summer, and today it was revealed that the club has agreed on yet another signing.
French forward Georginio Rutter is set to join Brighton from Leeds United. The transfer has been confirmed by Leeds' head coach, Daniel Farke, and Rutter has already bid farewell to his teammates.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Brighton will pay £40 million for Rutter, making him the most expensive player in the club's history.
Earlier this summer, Brighton also secured the signings of midfielder Max Wöber from Feyenoord, winger Braian Gruda from Mainz, winger Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle, and flank forward Ibrahim Osman from Nordsjælland.
It's worth noting that Brighton's former head coach, Roberto De Zerbi, left the club this summer and has been replaced by Fabian Hürzeler.
