Brighton Reach Verbal Agreement to Sign Algerian Defender Jaouen Hadjam from Young Boys
Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Swiss club BSC Young Boys for the transfer of Algerian left-back Jaouen Hadjam.
According to Foot Mercato, the 23-year-old defender is set to leave Switzerland, with the deal now in its final stages. Only a few details remain to be resolved before the transfer can be completed.
Hadjam began his youth development with Paris Saint-Germain and Créteil before making his professional debut with Paris FC in 2018.
He joined Nantes in 2023 before moving to Young Boys a year later. Despite suffering a syndesmotic ligament injury in January, Hadjam managed to make 30 appearances last season, contributing two goals and four assists.
The defender made his Algeria debut in 2023 and has since earned 21 international caps.
