Brighton are hoping to change McKenna's mind about leading the team

Recent reports that Ipswich Town head coach Kieran McKenna intends to extend his contract with the club after relegation to the Premier League have not at all frightened the more status clubs, who want to invite the specialist to them.

Thus, one of the contenders for the 38-year-old coach was Brighton, which, according to HITC, is aware of his intentions, but club bosses are doing their best to persuade McKenna to move to the camp of the "seagulls". However, the specialist's decision has unusually upset Brighton, who were identifying him as the main candidate for the position at their club.

But the "Seagulls" do not intend to grieve and in case of failure with McKenna are working on other options, including the return of their former head coach Graham Potter. The latter has previously been linked with a job at Manchester United and the England national team, and he himself recently turned down Ajax.
