Brentford Hand Benjamin Fredrick New Four-Year Deal After First-Team Promotion
Brentford have confirmed that Nigerian defender Benjamin Fredrick has signed a new four-year contract after earning promotion to the club's first-team squad.
The 21-year-old has been training with head coach Keith Andrews' senior squad during pre-season as he continues his recovery from the knee injury that brought his loan spell at Belgian club FCV Dender to an early end.
Speaking after the announcement, Andrews expressed his confidence in the young defender and believes he has a bright future at the club.
Head coach Andrews said: “We’re delighted that Benji has signed a new deal and is going to be part of the group this season, because we see a lot of potential in him and where we can bring his game to.
