Brentford confirm the signing of Mamadou Sangare

The Malian international midfielder has signed a five-year contract with an option for a further year.

Mamadou Sangare is embarking on a new chapter in his career. The Malian midfielder has officially left RC Lens to join Brentford.

The transfer of the 24-year-old Malian player was made official on Saturday 1 August. Mamadou Sangare will represent the Bees until June 2031.

The Malian international arrives in the Premier League following an impressive 2025–2026 season in France, scoring three goals and providing three assists for Lens in Ligue 1.

The winner of the 2026 Marc-Vivien Foé Award expressed his pride after signing his contract with Brentford.
