Brentford Club-Record Signing Mamadou Sangaré Reveals Why He Takes Uber Instead of Owning a Car
Brentford and Mali International star signing Mamadou Sangaré has revealed the surprising reason why he chose to take Uber to training instead of buying a car.
The Mali international joined Brentford from French side Lens during the summer in a deal reportedly worth £41 million, making him the club’s most expensive signing.
Speaking to Canal+, the Malian midfielder said his professional status had not changed his approach to life, insisting he remains grounded despite his success in football.
“I always take an Uber to the training ground because it's only five minutes away. I don't buy a car because I believe it's more economical. I'm a simple person. Becoming a professional footballer won't change my habits. I know where I come from, and I won't let success get to my head.”
During his time in France, he helped his former side secure a historic Champions League qualification and lift the Coupe de France for the first time in their history.
