Brentford are closing in on a deal to sign a Senegalese defender from West Ham
Brentford are stepping up their efforts to sign El Hadji Malick Diouf. The 21-year-old Senegalese international defender is one of the Bees’ top targets, and they are keen to finalise his move before the summer transfer window closes.
Determined to secure the services of the Senegalese defender, Brentford are said to have resumed talks with West Ham. According to SkySports, the two clubs are now close to reaching an agreement for the transfer of El Hadji Malick Diouf.
Negotiations are reportedly progressing well, and Brentford’s management hope to finalise the deal before the end of the summer transfer window.
Last season, El Hadji Malick Diouf put in some impressive performances for West Ham. As well as his solid defensive display, the Senegalese international provided five assists in the Premier League during the 2025–2026 campaign.
