The seventh round match of the English Premier League turned into a failure for Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou's team had won five consecutive matches across all competitions, but today they lost to Brighton.

The "Spurs" were leading 2-0 at halftime, but after the break, they conceded three goals and ended up with nothing. However, it was the player from the losing side, Brennan Johnson, who was named the player of the day in the English Premier League by Dailysports.

The 23-year-old Welshman, for whom Tottenham paid 55 million euros in 2023, has been impressive this season. Johnson opened the scoring in the match against Brighton, matching Harry Kane's five-year-old achievement. The forward has now scored in six consecutive games, much to the delight of the North London club's fans.

Despite this, Tottenham can't boast of good results at the start of the season. After seven rounds, the team sits in ninth place in the league table, with only 10 points to their name.
