Breaking! Xavi has decided to stay at Barcelona

Xavi Hernandez has decided to change his decision and remain as the head coach of Barcelona, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Following today's meeting and the insistence of club president Joan Laporta that he stay, Xavi has accepted Barcelona's conditions and will continue his work as head coach.

Only formal steps remain to be completed to continue the collaboration.

Xavi, who was a legend for Barcelona as a player, has been leading the Catalan team since the fall of 2021. Under his guidance, the "blaugranas" won the league and Spanish Sopercopa in 2023.

In the current campaign, Barcelona trail Real Madrid by 11 points with six rounds remaining in the championship and maintain only theoretical chances of claiming the title.
