BREAKING! The legendary Alex Morgan has announced the end of her career


One of the most iconic footballers in history, Alex Morgan, has announced her retirement at the age of 35.
“This decision to retire was not an easy one. But at the beginning of 2024, I knew in my heart and soul that this would be my final season playing football.
Football has been a part of me for 30 years and was one of the first things I ever loved. I gave everything to this sport, and what I received in return was more than I could have ever dreamed of,” Morgan said.
In addition to her footballing achievements, Alex Morgan became a symbol of athletic excellence and sports culture.
Morgan's last club was San Diego Wave, and she also had stints in Europe with Lyon and Tottenham.
For the U.S. national team, Morgan played 224 matches and scored 123 goals. She is a two-time World Cup champion and an Olympic gold medalist.
