BREAKING! Southgate quits as England head coach


The England national team was left without a head coach. The specialist who led the "three lions" since 2016, Gareth Southgate, left the post.
Football Association chief Mark Bullingham said that a successor to the specialist will be identified in the near future. In case a new head coach is not found before September, when the Nations League campaign starts, an interim will be appointed.
From any other comments, the main body of English football refuses until the appointment of a new head coach.
The 53-year-old has been in charge of the England national team since September 2016. Under his leadership, the "three lions" reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup, and also played twice in the finals of the European Championship, losing to Italy and Spain respectively.
Earlier it was reported that Eddie Howe, Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel, as well as England U-21 head coach Lee Carsley, are being considered as Southgate's successor.
