Timber will have to miss the World Cup.

Details: Earlier today, the official Netherlands national team account on social network X announced that 24-year-old Arsenal right-back Jurriën Timber will miss the World Cup due to injury.

It is reported that Timber has not managed to fully recover from a groin injury and, after consultations with the coaching staff and medical team, a decision was made for him to leave the team’s training camp in New York just days before the start of the tournament.

Who will replace Timber at the World Cup remains unclear and will be announced in the near future.

This season, Timber has played 44 matches for Arsenal, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists.

At the World Cup, the Netherlands have been drawn into Group F, where they will face Japan, Tunisia, and Sweden.
