Details: According to The Athletic, 18-year-old Barcelona and Spain midfielder Lamine Yamal is highly likely to miss the opening matches of the World Cup.

Reports indicate that Yamal won't recover from his hamstring injury in time and is almost certain to miss the opener against Cape Verde on June 15.

Unfortunately, the bad news doesn't end there for Yamal. The “La Roja” coaching staff estimate that he could also miss the second group stage match against Saudi Arabia, set for June 21.

This season, Yamal has featured in 45 matches for Barcelona, scoring 24 goals and providing 18 assists.
