Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz was forced to substitute his goalkeeper, Ati Zigi, at halftime after the player was unable to continue due to injury.

Ati Zigi sustained the injury after an awkward landing following a challenge with a Panama player. Zigi received medical attention twice during the first half and initially seemed able to carry on, but during the break, the coaching staff decided to replace him with Benjamin Asare.
