Reports indicate that the thieves entered Iwobi’s house unnoticed, but came face-to-face with the Fulham star and decided to take him hostage at knifepoint.
Once Iwobi was incapacitated, the gang managed to ransack the Nigerian’s home, stealing wristwatches, jewelry, iPhones, a MacBook, and around £200,000 in cash that Iwobi had stored in his safe.
According to sources, the total value of the stolen items amounts to £500,000.
After realizing there was nothing left to steal, the robbers fled the scene. Iwobi managed to free himself and call the police, who have already launched an investigation into the incident.
Preliminary reports suggest that neither Iwobi nor any of his family members were harmed.
