A brace from Brazilian midfielder Yuri Cesar led Al-Ahli Dubai to a 2–1 comeback victory over Al Sharjah on Friday, securing the UAE President’s Cup for the 11th time in club history. Per EFE, Cesar’s goals erased an early deficit and delivered the prestigious trophy under the guidance of Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa.

Al Sharjah, featuring Spanish striker Paco Alcácer, opened the scoring in the 14th minute through Marcus Meloni. But Al-Ahli responded just before halftime, with Cesar netting the equalizer in the 45th minute to shift the momentum.

The match was ultimately decided in the 63rd minute when Cesar struck again, sealing the win and sparking celebrations in Dubai. The standout performance from the naturalized Emirati-Brazilian came within a squad that includes eight other Brazilian players, such as Renan, Igor Gomes, Rikelme, and Mateus Henrique.

With this victory, Al-Ahli Dubai cements its dominance in domestic football and adds another chapter to its growing legacy in the Emirates.
