Details: Today, Aston Villa's official account on X announced that 25-year-old midfielder João Gomes has officially left Wolverhampton and will continue his career at Aston Villa.

The Birmingham club confirmed the Brazilian's transfer, paying £35 million for his services. The player has signed a five-year contract with his new team, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2031.

Gomes spent two and a half seasons with Wolverhampton, where he became a key figure in the midfield thanks to his work rate, aggressive pressing, and ability to win duels.

João Gomes's transfer value is currently estimated at €40 million by Transfermarkt.
