Brentford striker Igor Thiago has made his name in the English Premier League by setting a unique achievement for footballers from his country.
Details: In the Matchday 32 clash against Everton, the Brazilian needed just three minutes to open the scoring, calmly converting a penalty. The goal marked a milestone — his 20th of the current Premier League season, making him the first Brazilian in history to reach that tally within a single English top-flight campaign.
Until today, none of the great Brazilian forwards to have graced English football — from Roberto Firmino to Gabriel Jesus — had managed to break the 20-goal barrier in a single season.
For reference: Brentford midfielder Kevin Schade has attracted interest from several leading European clubs.
