Boulaye Dia rediscovers his form at Rennes

After a difficult 2025–2026 season with Lazio in Italy, the Senegalese centre-forward appears to have rediscovered his scoring touch in France.

On loan from the Italian club during the summer transfer window, Boulaye Dia has been putting in a string of convincing performances for Rennes. On Sunday 25 October, the Senegalese international once again demonstrated his eye for goal during Stade Rennais’s 3-0 victory over Strasbourg. This latest goal confirms his return to form since arriving in Brittany.

Having struggled last season in Italy’s Serie A, the Senegalese player is gradually finding his feet in his new environment. His performances are beginning to show in the statistics, with a consistency that is enabling him to contribute to the French club’s results.

Since joining Rennes, Boulaye Dia has scored four goals in nine appearances across all competitions. This is an encouraging record for the striker, who seems to have found a favourable environment at Rennes to relaunch his career.

The Senegalese player now hopes to build on this momentum and confirm his return to form.
