Borussia Dortmund with Sancho's goal defeated PSV and advanced to the Champions League quarter-final

Borussia Dortmund hosted PSV in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16. In the Netherlands, the teams played to a 1:1 draw, so both were determined to win to settle the outcome of the tie in regular time.

The Yellow and Blacks started swiftly. Already in the 3rd minute, Jadon Sancho scored his first Champions League goal since 2020, assisted by Julian Brandt. It's worth noting that the entire first half was under the full control of the hosts, while the visitors looked pale.

In the second half of the game, PSV picked up their pace and the match became more balanced. The visitors created several dangerous moments and could have equalized, but their finishing let them down. Borussia Dortmund found the net once again: in stoppage time, the Yellow and Blacks launched an attack, which was concluded with a precise strike by Marco Reus.
