Borussia Dortmund legend is ready to stay but has put an unusual condition on the club
The future of legendary central defender Mats Hummels at Borussia Dortmund remains uncertain.
According to Florian Plettenberg, the experienced player has informed the club's management that he is willing to stay and sign a new contract. However, he has set conditions: Hummels will continue his career in Dortmund only if Edin Terzic is no longer the head coach.
Previously, Hummels stated that he does not see his future in MLS or anywhere outside Europe. AC Milan has been mentioned among potential suitors for him.
To recap, in the recently concluded season, Borussia Dortmund reached the Champions League final, where they lost to Real Madrid 2-0. Hummels was named the best player in both semi-final matches against PSG, playing a total of 33 matches and scoring 4 goals throughout the season.
