Carrick is in need of a new left-back.

Details: According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United’s management is preparing to enter negotiations with Barcelona for the 22-year-old Catalan left-back Alejandro Balde.

According to the source, Barcelona is ready to part ways with Balde for no less than €50 million, a fee that shouldn’t be a problem for the Mancunians.

Balde is a product of Barcelona’s famed academy, and this move could mark the first major transfer of his career. This season, Alejandro Balde has made 38 appearances for Barcelona, providing 3 assists.

His current contract with the Blaugrana runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated at €55 million by Transfermarkt.
