Héctor Fort is ready to trade Barcelona for a new challenge without leaving Spain.
Details: According to the latest update shared by Matteo Moretto, the 20-year-old right-back is on the verge of joining Real Sociedad. Negotiations have reached the final stage, while Fort has already given the green light to the San Sebastián club's project.
The deal is expected to be permanent. The reported transfer fee is €8 million, while Barcelona are set to retain a 50% sell-on clause. Such a structure would allow the Catalan club to benefit significantly if Real Sociedad decide to sell the defender in the future.
Fort's approval is one of the decisive details as the clubs work through the final formalities. The move would keep the La Masia graduate in La Liga and offer him a new opportunity to compete for regular playing time.
It’s worth noting that Fort spent last season on loan at Elche, where he made 17 appearances, scored three goals and provided two assists. Barcelona's official website confirms those numbers, while Transfermarkt lists his contract with Barcelona until June 2029 and values him at €12 million.
