Bolívar is close to finalizing a one-year loan deal for Damián Batallini, according to transfer expert César Luis Merlo. The 29-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder, whose rights belong to Argentinos Juniors, is set to join the Bolivian club with a purchase option included in the agreement.
Batallini had been on loan at Instituto de Córdoba but was recently told he wouldn't be part of their plans for the second half of the year. With limited prospects at both Instituto and Argentinos, the player moved quickly to unlock his situation and seek a fresh start.
The deal comes at a crucial time for Bolívar, who are preparing to face Chilean side Palestino in the Copa Sudamericana playoffs. The addition of an experienced playmaker like Batallini could boost their attacking depth significantly.
Batallini has played for several clubs in Argentina and Mexico, including Independiente, Colón, and Atlético San Luis. During his stint with Instituto, he made 13 appearances, scoring two goals and logging 743 minutes, though he didn’t register any assists. If finalized, he’ll aim to reignite his form in La Paz.
