Blow for Real Madrid. Thibaut Courtois ruled out for several weeks with injury
During the clash between Manchester City and Real Madrid, the Spanish side’s goalkeeper picked up an injury, and the extent of his absence has now been revealed.
Details: According to Tiempo de Juego, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will be sidelined for around six weeks. He has suffered a muscle injury to the rectus femoris of his right quadriceps.
Courtois was substituted at half-time in yesterday’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match against Manchester City due to discomfort.
This season, Courtois has made 41 appearances for Real Madrid, conceding 39 goals and keeping 15 clean sheets.
