Blas Riveros Officially Joins Cerro Porteño

Cerro Porteño has confirmed the signing of Blas Riveros, who becomes the club’s third reinforcement ahead of the 2025 Clausura tournament. With just four days to go before the new season kicks off, the left-back was unveiled as a new addition to Diego Martínez’s squad.
As reported by D10, Riveros, 27, arrives from Talleres de Córdoba and joins the team at the coach’s request. His arrival strengthens a roster aiming to compete on three fronts: the domestic league, Copa Paraguay, and the Copa Libertadores.
This move marks Riveros’ return to Paraguayan football after nine years abroad. He made his professional debut with Olimpia in 2015, then moved to Swiss side Basel in 2016. He later played for Brondby in Denmark and had been with Talleres since 2023.
He joins Fabrizio Peralta and Luis Amarilla as Cerro’s confirmed signings for the second half of the year. With his international experience and defensive reliability, Riveros adds depth and quality to a squad preparing for an ambitious campaign.
