Bivol defeated Arthur in a fight for the light heavyweight belt
Boxer Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11) defeated Britain's Lyndon Arthur by judges' decision for the IBO World and WBA Super World light heavyweight titles.
Bivol was considered the undisputed favourite for the fight and began to prove it from the very first rounds. Dmitry controlled the centre of the ring and knocked his opponent down in the eleventh round. In the last round, Artur frankly tolerated not to be knocked out, but still managed to stand. Perhaps, trainers will praise him for this, but he will not get the belt for this fight.
Recall that this fight took place in the framework of the evening of boxing in Saudi Arabia. Earlier we reported that Daniel Dubois defeated Jarell Miller by technical knockout.
The main fight of the night in Saudi Arabia will be a bout between former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and Otto Wallin.
