Australian field hockey player Tom Craig has been detained on suspicion of purchasing cocaine in Paris, as reported by European crime reporter Jean-Baptiste Marty.
The journalist released information stating that a member of the Australian field hockey team was arrested last night after buying cocaine on the street in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. The seller, who was carrying 75 ecstasy tablets, 3 grams of 2-MMC, and seven vials of cocaine, was also arrested.
According to FranceInfo, the athlete in question is none other than Tom Craig. The 28-year-old was reportedly arrested with approximately one gram of cocaine in his possession.
The Australian National Olympic Committee has confirmed the arrest of the hockey player.
