A major scandal unfolded at the European Junior Taekwondo Championship in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Details: In the final, 8-year-old Valina Fetiou from Kosovo lost to Serbian opponent Nina Savić, which led to an inappropriate reaction from her coach, Valmir Fetiou.
The young athlete began to cry after the defeat, but instead of receiving support from her coach, she was slapped in front of onlookers.
It was later revealed that the European Taekwondo Federation had disqualified Valmir for six months due to his aggressive behavior.
Coach himself stated that the slap was given "only to calm down the athlete" after her loss in the final to the Serbian opponent.
