The transfer battles in England kick off long before the window officially opens.
Details: According to The Times, 25-year-old English centre-back Marc Guéhi of Crystal Palace and the England national team has been singled out by Manchester City's coaching staff as their primary transfer target for the summer window.
It is reported that Guardiola personally requested Guéhi's signing, considering him the perfect long-term reinforcement for the defence.

The situation is heating up even more because Liverpool have already held verbal talks with Guéhi and received a firm commitment from him to join as a free agent this summer; however, City are set to try and spoil the Scousers’ plans.
Guéhi joined Crystal Palace from Chelsea for €24 million in 2021. Over the years, he has become a true leader for Palace, making 180 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals and providing 8 assists. His contract with Palace runs until summer 2026, and Transfermarkt currently values him at €55 million.
