Big ambitions. Liverpool ready to open talks with Crystal Palace star

Crystal Palace are on the verge of parting ways with one of their standout players.

Reminder: As reported by renowned and respected journalist and insider Nicolo Schira on his social media page X, the Liverpool board is preparing to enter negotiations with Crystal Palace over the transfer of 22-year-old midfielder Adam Wharton.

It is reported that Liverpool's coaching staff have been monitoring Wharton for quite some time. If Arne Slot missed out on signing the talented midfielder last summer, the Reds are now determined to get their man.

Crystal Palace understand that keeping Wharton for another season will be extremely difficult, so they are prepared to let him go—provided the compensation is right.

This season, Wharton has made 48 appearances for Crystal Palace, delivering 7 assists. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2029, and Transfermarkt values his transfer at 60 million euros.
