Trafford is looking for a club where he will get more playing time.

Details: According to Times Sport, Aston Villa are seriously considering 23-year-old Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford as a summer reinforcement.

It is reported that Villa see Trafford as the ideal candidate to replace Emiliano Martínez, who could leave the club as early as this summer.

James Trafford joined Manchester City in the summer of 2025 from Burnley for €31.2 million, but has yet to surpass Gianluigi Donnarumma in the battle for the starting goalkeeper spot.

This season, Trafford has made 10 appearances for Manchester City, conceding 10 goals and keeping 7 clean sheets. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated at €25 million.
