Betis fans throw thousands of toys onto the pitch – but why?

Yesterday, Betis played out a 1-1 draw at home against Rayo Vallecano, and an interesting moment occurred during halftime.

Details: Betis fans threw thousands of stuffed toys onto the pitch, which stadium staff quickly gathered into large bags.

The purpose of this gesture is to donate these toys to orphans and children from low-income families as Christmas gifts.

This heartwarming tradition has been a recurring event for Betis for several years.

Reminder: Betis head coach Manuel Pellegrini recently defended loaned forward Vitor Roque, whom Barcelona is reportedly planning to sell this summer.
