The Cameroonian striker has been rewarded for his performances.

Bernard Nguene has extended his contract with the Belgian club and is now tied to Standard Liège until June 2029, with an option for a further season. Having joined from OGC Nice last January, the 20-year-old Cameroonian has established himself in Standard Liège’s first team.

Bernard Nguene has made 20 appearances for the Belgian club’s first team, scoring two goals and providing two assists. This contract extension recognises the Cameroonian striker’s performances since his arrival in Belgium.

Bernard Nguene will continue to develop whilst contributing to his team’s ambitions. Following the official announcement of his new contract, the Cameroonian made no secret of his delight.

“I am happy and proud to sign this new contract. It gives me a great deal of confidence and I would like to thank the management, the coaching staff, my team-mates and the supporters for the support they give me every day.”
