Berkane’s 3–0 Win Against Power Dynamos Piles Pressure on Rivers United

Moroccan champions RS Berkane opened their CAF Champions League campaign with a commanding 3–0 win over Power Dynamos, sending a clear warning to Rivers United ahead of their meeting this week.

Berkane took the lead after 13 minutes when Aaron Katebe turned the ball into his own net. Three minutes later, summer signing Mounir Chouiar doubled the advantage after a smart pass from Haytam Manaout. The hosts kept control throughout and sealed the victory just before the hour mark through Paul Bassène, whose 65th-minute strike ended the contest.

The result puts Berkane joint-top of Group A, level with defending champions Pyramids FC, who also beat Rivers United 3–0 in Cairo.

Berkane now head to Uyo for a crucial clash, with Rivers United desperate to recover and keep their qualification hopes alive.
