In the AFC Champions League, the second-leg matches of the round of 16 are also underway. Al-Ittihad hosted Navbahor Namangan at their home stadium.

The first leg between these teams ended in a goalless draw. At the onset of this match, Al-Ittihad displayed great activity and created scoring opportunities near their opponents' goal. However, it was the players of Navbahor Namangan who scored first in the match. They were aided by Saudi team striker Karim Benzema, who contributed an own goal. At halftime, the teams went in with the score tied, with Benzema tallying an assist, and the goal scored by Hamdallah.

After the break, the hosts continued to dominate the football field. Initially, on the 75th minute, Benzema scored a goal which was disallowed by the referees due to offside. Nonetheless, Al-Ittihad still managed to clinch the victory. In the 87th minute, Navbahor Namangan's player Tabatadze accidentally put the ball into his own net.

Benzema's team secured a narrow 2-1 victory and advanced to the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League. The French striker also showcased his versatility: first an own goal, then an assist, and a disallowed goal.
