Benzema and Kanté lift the trophy. Al-Ittihad clinch Professional League title ahead of schedule

On Thursday, May 15, Al-Ittihad traveled to face Al-Raed in a match that carried tremendous significance for the visitors.
The stakes were clear: a victory would crown Al-Ittihad as national champions. Although the game got off to a rocky start—with Al-Ittihad conceding in just the ninth minute—the team was undeterred.
Al-Ittihad wasted no time in chasing the title and struck twice before halftime, with Steven Bergwijn and Danilo Pereira both finding the net. Early in the second half, Al-Ittihad added a third goal, shutting the door on any hopes of an Al-Raed comeback.
The 3-1 win over Al-Raed secured Al-Ittihad the Saudi Pro League championship with matches to spare. This marks the club’s tenth national title.
Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté celebrated their first trophies with Al-Ittihad. The French forward has been instrumental this season, featuring in 28 matches, scoring 21 goals, and providing nine assists.
