Tottenham’s central midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has found himself at the center of a racism controversy that emerged over the summer, and the consequences could soon be severe.

Details: According to Sami Mokbel, the English Football Association (FA) is likely to hand Bentancur a seven-match suspension. This ban would apply not only to Premier League games but also to the English League Cup and FA Cup.

In June, during a broadcast on Uruguayan television, Bentancur made a comment suggesting that "all Koreans look the same," referencing teammate Son Heung-min and his cousins. Although Son accepted Bentancur's apology, the FA decided to pursue disciplinary action.

After 11 rounds in the Premier League, Tottenham sits in 10th place with 16 points.

Reminder: This weekend, Tottenham’s head coach Ange Postecoglou clashed with fans following a shocking loss to Ipswich.
