Bellingham scores as Real Madrid secures victory. Madrid dominated Villarreal

Real Madrid secured a convincing victory against Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabeu in the 17th matchday of La Liga, with a scoreline of 4:1.

The Royal club scored two goals in each half against their opponents. Bellingham dismayed the visitors' goalkeeper midway through the first half after an assist from Modric, doubling the hosts' advantage with a goal by Rodrigo twelve minutes later.

The Yellow Submarine didn't give up and pulled one back early in the second half through a goal by Jose Morales. However, the intrigue was short-lived as Dias, with a stunning strike, restored Real Madrid's two-goal lead. But the Whites didn't stop there. Modric, aside from providing an assist, added a goal to seal the victory.

Under Carlo Ancelotti's leadership, the team with 42 points displaced Girona from the top spot in the La Liga table. However, the Catalan team will play its 17th match on Monday, December 18. Villarreal currently sits in 14th place with 16 points.
