This week, the 2024 Formula 1 season continues. From Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28, the Belgian Grand Prix will take place.

The Belgian leg is one of the oldest, most fascinating, and most prestigious Grand Prix races. The Belgian Grand Prix was first held in 1925 on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, laid out on public roads in the vicinity of the Belgian villages of Spa, Francorchamps, Malmedy, and Stavelot. In 1950, the Belgian Grand Prix was included in the first Formula 1 World Championship.

The most decorated driver of the Belgian Grand Prix is Michael Schumacher, who has won it six times. Additionally, this race holds significant milestones for the German driver: his Formula 1 debut at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix, his first victory in 1992, his 52nd victory in 2001 (surpassing the previous record-holder Alain Prost), and winning his seventh Formula 1 World Championship title in 2004.

The reigning champion of the Belgian Grand Prix is Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver has won the last three races: 2021, 2022, and 2023.
