Belgian champion set to sign with Premier League giants!
London’s Crystal Palace are on the verge of sealing yet another summer transfer. The English club is finalizing a deal for the right-sided wing-back from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise.
Details: According to insider David Ornstein of The Athletic, Crystal Palace are negotiating with the Belgian champions for the transfer of 21-year-old Israel international Anan Khalaili, with the fee expected to be around £21 million.
The player has already passed his medical and agreed terms on a five-year deal with the Eagles, with an option for a further season. In the race for the versatile wide man, Palace have beaten out Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, and Inter Milan.
Khalaili joined Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer of 2024 from Maccabi Haifa and in his debut season helped the Belgian side clinch the league title. The Israeli star covers the entire right flank, from right-back to winger. In 52 appearances across all competitions for Union, he tallied 6 goals and 6 assists—this transfer will be the most lucrative sale in the club’s history.
